FIFA World Cup 26™ Seattle

Explore my creative work for Seattle FIFA World Cup 2026, from video production and social media marketing to community storytelling, creative strategy, and lasting legacy projects.

FIFA WORLD CUP 26™ SEATTLE

Six matches. One host city. A whole lot more than soccer.

In 2026, Seattle welcomed the world for the largest sporting event on the planet. But the FIFA World Cup was about much more than 90 minutes on the pitch. From the streets to the stadium and across Washington state, here's a look at some of the work that made Seattle's World Cup one to remember.

The Legacy Book

The SeattleFWC26 Legacy Book was created as a lasting thank-you to the people who made Seattle's World Cup possible. A premium hardcover gift for sponsors, donors, partners, elected officials, staff, and other key contributors, it captures the moments, stories, and lasting impact of an unforgettable summer across Washington. I helped shape the editorial direction, write and refine the stories, and guide the creative and print production process. The result is a piece of Seattle's World Cup history that those who helped make it happen can revisit for generations.

Seattle Soccer House

Seattle Soccer House transformed downtown's Pacific Place into a gathering place for FIFA World Cup 2026 fans, complete with a massive 70-foot, four-story screen, free match viewing, and daily activities. My job was to help get people there. Through social media marketing, daily event promotion, and video storytelling, I helped showcase the experience and the community behind it. That included a drone fly-through that happened to catch a USA goal in real time and a profile film highlighting the people who made Soccer House special.

SEA Beacons 🐋

Seattle's World Cup spirit lit up storefronts across Washington through SEA Beacons, a collection of illuminated whale-tail artworks designed by local artist Shogo Ota and handcrafted by Western Neon. More than decoration, these beacons helped connect fans with local businesses, bring neighborhoods together, and support SeattleFWC26's community legacy initiatives. I helped tell the story behind the program through a 30-episode video series in partnership with local content creator Conner Cayson and social media, spotlighting the businesses, people, and purpose behind these glowing symbols of Seattle's World Cup.

Selfless Stations

During the FIFA World Cup 2026, 25 colorful whale-tail installations popped up across Seattle and Washington state, each with a purpose beyond the perfect selfie. Part of SeattleFWC26's community legacy initiatives, Selfless Stations connected fans with local nonprofits through public art, QR-code donations, and a simple invitation to share the love. I helped spread the word through creative marketing, social media, and promotional video production, including a drone-powered tour showcasing the installations and the communities they supported.

Seattle Children’s Art Therapy Collaboration

Art can be a powerful source of comfort, healing, and self-expression for children facing serious medical challenges. For FIFA World Cup 2026, SeattleFWC26 partnered with Seattle Children's Therapeutic Art Program to bring patients' creativity to the streets of Seattle. Their original artwork became part of the city's Unity Loop Monorail installation, while drawings of their beloved stuffed animals inspired Puget Sound Flow, a larger-than-life mural by Seattle artist Stevie Shao. I had the privilege of telling the story behind this incredible collaboration through a documentary-style film, from developing the narrative and conducting interviews to managing production, post-production, and publication.

Legacy Website & Communications Closeout

The World Cup may have ended, but SeattleFWC26 still had one important story left to tell: what Seattle and Washington would carry forward. A new legacy website brought together more than 35 community initiatives, the partnerships behind them, and the lasting impact of hosting the world's biggest sporting event. I helped bring that story together through website content development, editorial storytelling, a final social media series, and the organization's digital closeout communications. The goal was to give years of collaboration a lasting home and the people behind it the recognition they deserved.

Role: Content Strategy, Copywriting & Digital Communications.

“Cam is a gem, and he gets things done. Cam is, for my money, the ideal combination of independent, assertive, and easy to work with. He brings the team along to maintain cohesion and the final product is excellent.”
